Our latest update is all about giving you more ways to express yourself, and more things to do when you get together with other players. You can now switch between multiple personas, host your own game nights and quizzes with our new event objects, and fill your lot with almost 70 new items!

Persona Selector

You can now have up to two personas associated with your account, or three if you're a Vitare Plus subscriber.

This lets you create different personas and identities within Vitare - whether that's a second look, a different personality, or a character for a particular role or lot. You can also manage each persona from the selector, including:

  • Editing their look
  • Updating their bio
  • Scheduling a persona for deletion

Event Objects

Host your own game nights, quizzes and other creative ideas with our first wave of event objects. They work together, so you can mix and match to build the event you have in mind.

  • Scoreboard: keep score of players, whatever the event!
  • Quiz Buzzer: place a few for your quiz night or game show. Arm them all, and the first player to buzz lights up and is announced to everyone. Awarding points can go straight to the scoreboard.
  • Countdown Clock: a digital countdown clock which you can set, and everyone on your lot will see it.
  • Name Draw Box: players can add their names into the box, then you can draw a winner at random. Perfect for raffles and giveaways!
  • Prize Wheel: write your own prizes, dares or anything you like on the wheel and give it a spin!
  • Fireworks Crate: a one-time fireworks show over your lot, which you can even see from the world map. Perfect for big celebrations!

Entertainment Objects and More Items

We've added almost 70 new items across many shop categories, and lots of them come with new interactions. Some highlights:

  • Jukebox: play music to everyone on your lot, from country to pop
  • Mechanical Bull: see how long you can stay on for!
  • Microphone Stand: use it to increase your charisma
  • Party lights, disco ball and smoke machine: everything you need to turn your lot into a party

There are also new Dance and Fun emotes. Just click on your player to try them.

Bug Fixes

  • The "Already logged in" message, which affected genuine users who had recently closed and re-opened the game, has been resolved. This can still happen for up to 2 minutes if you were disconnected.
  • The chat window will no longer disappear off screen if you change the game window size
  • Roommates will now see "Sell" on their own objects without having to reload the lot

Everything you need to know about multiple personas

Here are the answers to the questions about how personas work.

The basics

Everyone can create two personas with a free account, and Vitare Plus members can have up to three. Vitare Plus covers every persona on your account, so you don't need a separate membership for each one.

You can play one persona at a time. To switch, go to Settings > Switch Persona whenever you like.

Each persona is its own person

Think of each persona as a completely separate character in the world. Each one has its own:

  • V$
  • Inventory
  • Lots
  • Skills
  • Friends
  • Achievements
  • Event progress

Nothing is shared between them. If you'd like to give a lot to one character and a different life to another, that's exactly what personas are for.

We are considering ways to share objects and currency between different personas. In the meantime, you can use tip jars to send V$ or become a roommate to share objects.

Achievements

Achievements can be earned on each persona. V$ rewards are only paid once per account, but item rewards are given again, so every persona can still collect the items.

If your Vitare Plus membership ends

If your Plus membership ends, you can choose which persona is paused. You can swap which one is paused once every 30 days.

Deleting a persona

Deleting a persona takes 7 days, just in case you change your mind. Their V$, inventory and lots go with them, so please be sure before you go ahead. If you'd rather not wait, you can also choose to delete a persona immediately.

Privacy and moderation

Nothing visible in the game links your personas together, so if you want other players to know that two characters are the same person, you'll have to tell them yourself!

Please note that Vitare staff can see which personas share an account. Because of that, bans, mutes, lot bans, kicks and blocks apply to your whole account. If you're banned from a lot, all of your personas are banned from it.

Neighbourhood elections

In neighbourhood elections, your personas can't vote for each other.
