- Your use of vitaregame.com
- Your use of the Vitare game client for PC and Mac
- Any communications between you and Vitare including support enquiries
This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions which govern your use of the Service.
Section 1 — Who We Are
Vitare is an online social virtual world operated by Daniel Willis trading as Vitare (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through vitaregame.com and the Vitare game client.

Section 2 — What Data We Collect
2.1 Data You Provide to Us
When you register for an Account or use the Service you provide us with the following personal data:

We do not collect your real name, postal address, or any government-issued identification as part of registration.
2.2 Payment Data
If you purchase a subscription your payment is processed directly and securely by Stripe. Vitare does not receive, store, or have access to your payment card details. The only payment-related data we hold is a record of your subscription status and transaction history for the purpose of managing your Account. Please refer to Stripe’s Privacy Policy for details of how Stripe processes your payment data.
2.3 Technical Data
When you access the Service we automatically collect certain technical data for the purposes of security, fraud prevention, and maintaining the integrity of the Service:

2.4 Communications Data
If you contact us at support@vitaregame.com we will retain a record of your communication including your email address and the content of your message for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and maintaining a record of support interactions.
2.5 Marketing Data
If you opt in to marketing communications via your Account settings we will hold a record of your consent and use your email address to send you updates about Vitare including news, feature announcements, and events. You may withdraw your consent at any time via your Account settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
2.6 Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how visitors use vitaregame.com. This may include pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring website. Google Analytics uses cookies and may transfer data to Google’s servers in the United States. This data is only collected with your consent via our cookie consent tool. For more information please see Section 8 — Cookies.
2.7 What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect or store:
- Government identification
- Payment card details
- Sensitive personal data such as health information, ethnicity, or political opinions
Section 3 — How We Use Your Data
We use the personal data we collect only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We will never sell your personal data to third parties.
3.1 Providing the Service
We use your data to:
- Create and manage your Account
- Verify your age at registration
- Provide access to the Vitare game client and all associated features
- Process subscription payments and manage your subscription status
- Send transactional emails including account confirmation, password reset, and subscription notifications
- Respond to support enquiries submitted to support@vitaregame.com
- Moderate in-game interactions such as chat
Lawful basis: Contract — this processing is necessary to provide the Service you have registered for.
3.2 Security & Fraud Prevention
We use your IP address and session data to:
- Detect and prevent unauthorised access to the Service
- Identify and investigate abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms & Conditions
- Protect the integrity of the in-game economy and ranking systems
- Block accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe the registered user is under 18
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests — we have a legitimate interest in protecting the Service, its players, and its systems from abuse and unauthorised access.
3.3 Legal Compliance
We retain your date of birth to demonstrate compliance with our 18+ age requirement.
Lawful basis: Legal obligation — this processing is required to comply with applicable law.
3.4 Marketing Communications
Where you have opted in to marketing communications via your Account settings, we use your email address to send you news, feature updates, event announcements, and other information about Vitare.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by:
- Updating your preferences in the My Account area of vitaregame.com
- Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
- Contacting us at support@vitaregame.com
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.
Withdrawing from marketing communications does not affect your Account or access to the Service in any way.
Lawful basis: Consent — we only send marketing communications where you have explicitly opted in.
3.5 Service Improvement
We use anonymised analytics data collected via Google Analytics to understand how players use vitaregame.com and to improve the website and Service. This data is anonymised and cannot be used to identify you individually.
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests — we have a legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used in order to improve it.
3.6 What We Will Never Do
We will never:
- Sell your personal data to any third party
- Use your personal data for automated decision making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you
- Share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes
- Use your data for any purpose not described in this Privacy Policy without first notifying you and where required obtaining your consent
Section 4 — How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The following retention periods apply:

4.1 Account Deletion
When you delete your Account via the My Account area of vitaregame.com your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request. Following deletion your data cannot be recovered.
4.2 Account Termination
Where your Account is terminated by Vitare for violation of our Terms & Conditions we may retain a limited record of your email address and the reason for termination for the purpose of preventing re-registration. This record will be retained for no longer than 2 years from the date of termination.
4.3 Legal Holds
In exceptional circumstances we may be required to retain data beyond the periods set out above where required by law, court order, or regulatory authority. We will notify you where legally permitted to do so.
Section 5 — Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party. We share your data only with the following trusted service providers who process data on our behalf solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

5.2 Stripe
Subscription and payment processing is handled by Stripe. When you purchase a subscription your payment details are submitted directly to Stripe and are not accessible to Vitare. Stripe processes your data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy available at stripe.com/gb/privacy. Stripe is certified under applicable data protection frameworks and implements appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
5.3 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised information about usage of vitaregame.com. Google Analytics may transfer data to Google’s servers in the United States. This processing only occurs with your explicit consent via our cookie consent tool. You may withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings on vitaregame.com. Google’s Privacy Policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
5.4 UK Hosting Providers
Our website and game server are hosted on UK-based infrastructure. Your Account data, gameplay data, and IP address logs are stored on our UK VPS. Support communications sent to support@vitaregame.com are handled by our UK web host. All data held by our UK hosting providers remains within the United Kingdom.
5.5 Legal Disclosure
We may disclose your personal data to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or other third parties where we are legally required to do so, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Vitare, its players, or others
- Investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms & Conditions
We will notify you of any such disclosure where we are legally permitted to do so.
5.6 Business Transfer
In the event that Vitare or its business is acquired, merged, or transferred to another entity, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such transfer and your rights under this Privacy Policy will continue to apply.
Section 6 — International Data Transfers
6.1 Where Your Data Is Processed
The majority of your personal data is stored and processed within the United Kingdom by our UK-based hosting providers. Vitare is a UK-based operation and your data is handled primarily within the UK.
6.2 Transfers Outside the UK
In limited circumstances your data may be transferred outside the United Kingdom:
- Stripe — payment processing may involve transfers of transaction data outside the UK. Stripe implements appropriate safeguards for international data transfers including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by relevant data protection authorities. - Google Analytics — anonymised website usage data is transferred to Google’s servers in the United States. This transfer only occurs with your explicit consent via our cookie consent tool. Google participates in and complies with applicable data transfer frameworks. For full details please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
6.3 UK Adequacy
The United Kingdom has been granted adequacy decisions in respect of certain countries, meaning data transfers to those countries are considered to provide an adequate level of protection. Where we transfer data internationally we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
6.4 Your Rights
You have the right to obtain information about the safeguards in place for any international transfers of your personal data. If you would like further information please contact us at support@vitaregame.com.
Section 7 — Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data. We will respond to all valid requests within 30 days of receipt. In complex cases we may extend this by a further two months and will notify you if this is necessary.
To exercise any of the rights below please contact us at support@vitaregame.com with your Account email address and a clear description of your request.
7.1 Right of Access
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how we use it. This is commonly known as a Subject Access Request (SAR). We will provide this information free of charge in a commonly used electronic format.
7.2 Right to Rectification
You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you. Where possible you can update your Account information directly via the My Account area of vitaregame.com. For data you cannot update yourself please contact us at support@vitaregame.com.
7.3 Right to Erasure
You have the right to request that we delete your personal data where:
- The data is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected
- You withdraw consent and there is no other lawful basis for processing
- You object to processing and there are no overriding legitimate interests
- The data has been unlawfully processed
You may exercise this right by deleting your Account via the My Account area of vitaregame.com or by contacting us at support@vitaregame.com. Please note that we may retain limited data where we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest to do so as described in Section 4.
7.4 Right to Restriction of Processing
You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances, for example where you contest the accuracy of the data or where you have objected to processing pending verification of our legitimate interests.
7.5 Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to request that we transmit that data to another controller where technically feasible. This right applies where processing is based on your consent or on a contract and is carried out by automated means.
7.6 Right to Object
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data where that processing is based on our legitimate interests. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or where processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
You have an absolute right to object to your personal data being used for direct marketing purposes. We will cease processing for marketing purposes immediately upon receipt of your objection.
7.7 Rights in Relation to Automated Decision Making
You have the right not to be subject to decisions made solely by automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. Vitare does not currently use automated decision making or profiling in relation to your personal data.
7.8 Right to Withdraw Consent
Where processing is based on your consent you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You may withdraw consent for marketing communications via your Account settings or by contacting us at support@vitaregame.com.
7.9 Right to Complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO):

Section 8 — Cookies
8.1 What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners. Cookies cannot harm your device or access any other information on it.
8.2 How We Use Cookies
We use cookies on vitaregame.com for the following purposes:

Google Analytics cookies are only placed on your device with your explicit consent via our cookie consent tool. If you do not consent, Google Analytics will not be activated and no analytics cookies will be set.

8.5 Managing Cookies
In addition to our cookie consent tool you can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of vitaregame.com. For guidance on managing cookies in your browser please refer to your browser’s help documentation.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
8.6 Game Client
The Vitare game client for PC and Mac does not use cookies. Technical session data used by the game client is managed server-side and is subject to the retention periods set out in Section 4.
Section 9 — Children and Under 18s
9.1 Age Requirement
Vitare is strictly an 18+ service. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. Our registration process includes a date of birth verification step and we will not permit registration where the date of birth provided indicates the applicant is under 18 years of age.
9.2 Accidental Registration
Despite our age verification measures it is possible that a person under 18 may attempt to register by providing a false date of birth. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18 we will:
- Immediately suspend and permanently terminate the Account
- Delete all personal data associated with that Account as soon as reasonably practicable
- Take reasonable steps to prevent re-registration by that individual
9.3 Reporting
If you believe an Account belongs to a person under 18 please contact us immediately at support@vitaregame.com. We take age compliance seriously and will investigate all reports promptly.
