In anticipation of the next game update, a mandatory game launcher update has been released.
You will be required to download this the next time you try to launch Vitare, as we have changed the way we deliver updates. Once updated, it will take a few minutes to re-verify your downloaded game files.
Update Instructions
Windows Users
You will be prompted to manually download the update - simply click to download, run the setup file and it will update your launcher.
Alternatively, you can download the latest launcher directly from vitaregame.com/download.
Mac Users
You will be prompted to manually download the update, and drag it into your Applications folder to replace the old launcher. Alternatively, you can download the latest launcher directly from vitaregame.com/download.
⚠️ Important for Mac Users
You may get a message saying "Vitare Not Opened" as Apple could not verify it. You will need to go into System Settings → Privacy & Security and manually allow the Vitare launcher to open. This is only required on first open.

- Redesigned launcher - both visually and under the hood
- Significant reduction in update file sizes on Windows and macOS
- Windows: You can now choose an installation path / alternate drive for the game files
- Mac: Launcher no longer flagged as "damaged" requiring a Terminal override
- Mac: Launcher auto updater has been added, bringing it in line with Windows
- World time now in launcher; this will be out of sync for a day or so until we release our new update
Going forward, any future launcher updates on Windows and Mac will automatically install.
