Important: Game Launcher Update

This is only required if your launcher is on v0.2.0 - you do not need to do anything if you are on 1.0.0 or newer

We have released a launcher update for the first time. This is designed to fix some of the issues some players have reported and make some enhancements - such as smaller update sizes, fixing update failures, maintenance mode messaging, and more.

Updating the launcher

Unfortunately, the old version of the launcher has a bug which prevents the "Download" button on update window from working, so you need to manually do this on this occasion.

You do not need to do anything if you are on 1.0.0 or newer.

Simply re-download the launcher from here: https://vitaregame.com/download

This should be the same experience as when you first installed Vitare - it should take a few moments and will not erase your installed Vitare game files, so you can jump right back into playing.

This will be a mandated update from next week, which means the old launcher will stop allowing you to open the game without updating.

⚠️ For Mac Users

Like when you first installed Vitare, you may find your Mac flags it as "damaged". Please follow the instructions below:

• Open the .dmg and drag Vitare into your Applications folder. Replace the existing file if prompted.
• Open Terminal (open Applications, or press ⌘ + Space, type Terminal and press Enter), then run: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Vitare.app
• Press Enter. If it asks for your Mac password, type it in and press Enter again.

This simply tells your Mac to trust Vitare - it doesn't affect any other apps or change your security settings. We are setting up an Apple developer account to prevent this in the future.

⚠️ For Windows Users

Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. Click More info → Run anyway if this happens.
